My story 💕
Our favorite old lady has gone through a lot in her long life. She was a spunky race horse named "Turn Me Loose!" in her early days. When she was no longer able to compete, she worked for the Amish for a while. After she could no longer work hard, she was placed in a kill pen. A sanctuary named Starry Skies pulled Queenie from the pen and took care of her. However, years go by and no one wanted to adopt her.. so we gladly took her in so she would have a forever home to care for her.
Queenie is now loved on by all of the kids (and adults) that visit our ranch. She is one of our main lesson horses. Queenie boosts the confidence of our young riders and enjoys being brushed and scratched!
Don't let Queenie's age fool you! This lady is still a spunky spirit on the trails with the personality of Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies. Many of our customers can't help but smile once they get on her and feel her energy to ride.
Queenie's best friend in the whole wide world is Lakota. She will follow Lakota to the ends of the earth and will always want to stay by her side. She does a cute little "chug chug" noise whenever she see's Lakota.
